Hello there,
Here are two more interesting ways to practice scales. Not only do you get to know the scale better, but you also get to practice string skipping and sequences(not the mathematical kind).
Well as i already said you can practice your scale by using string skipping...your thinking what the heck is string skipping. Well it literally means to skip a string. So if you are playing the
pentatonic scale.Play the 1-st string then play the notes on the 3-rd string. Then go back up 1 string (2-nd string)play the notes on the that string and now skip the 3-rd string and go directly to
the 4-th string....and keep on doing that till you reach the last string. Then try string skipping as you descend the scale!
The other way to practice a scale would be sequences...I would advice you to start out with seqquences of fours using the peantatonic scale...So all you need to do is play the first 4 notes of the
scale then go back to the 2nd note that you played and play another 4 notes from there. You do this till you reach the last string...you can also youtube sequences i bet someone would have posted
something about sequences already!
have fun practicing!

Hello Dear Supporters,
Amazon made a list of 100 greatest jazz albums of all times:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html?ie=UTF8&ref_=pe_1130_12097460&docId=1000369991
Only 4 guitarists in it: Pat Metheny, Grant Green, Herb Ellis and Bill Frisell.
I found it wierd that Joe Pass was not on that list....after all he is a great jazz guitarist. Then again the list includes all types of instrumentalists...that's why i'll let it pass.
Enjoy the great music!!!
Till next time.

After a long break which i decided to take...I am finally back with new inspiration and great tips and tricks for guitar players. I have, fot the past 3 months, worked on many aspects that i used
to think i already knew. But when i repeated all that i knew. I felt like i got a better grasp on things.
I worked on scales, modes, and warm-up exercises. I will in the next days try and post up some of the exercises that i saw being used and used myself.
It's great to be back....
Have a BLAST!!!!

Hey,
Just wanted to say that on Thursday July 31st, 2008 blues artist Joe Bonamassa will host an afternoon guitar clinic at the Guitar Institute of Technology (GIT) at the Musician's Institute (MI) in
Hollywood.
Guitar Player magazine have voted Bonamassa as "Best Blues Guitarist" in both 2007 and 2008, while
Guitar One magazine once called Bonamassa "just might be the best
guitarist of his generation". He might just be the next Eric Clapton. He is also preparing for the upcoming release of his two-disc live set
Live From Nowhere In Particular in August.
have fun guys and check out Bonamassa he is amazing!

Hello,
One of my good friend is a big fan of Lacuna Coil and he is a great guitarist. He is my greatest inspiration and i would like to thank him for everything he has done for me. Thanks Johnny for
coming to germany. I had a blast at your gig.
By the way lacuna coil is supporting the Bullet for my Valentines tour... which is a good thing to see bands working together. To all those people who don´t know who lacuna coil is. Well they are
an italian band and they have been actively in the music bussines since 1994. They have some good songs. If your a metal fan then this is a good thing to listen to.
Thanks Johnny for the tips and tricks
You have helped me a lot.
